Application Part II: Agreement

Notice: Please read and indicate your agreement to the following before you apply to participate in the National Online Youth Summit. Please note that links to Orientation Activities and past materials make reference to WebBoard Software; although we will be using FuseTalk for this summit, the WebBoard activities will give you an idea of how the software orientation will work.

If I,  , participate in the National Online Youth Summit with my students, I agree that I will:

  • Log into a private message board reserved just for teachers 2 times per week throughout the project (January-April)

  • Subscribe to a project listserve

  • Complete the four teacher orientation activities (See 2005 Teacher Orientation Activities for examples)

  • Complete 12-14 sequential summit activities designed and provided by the ABA with my students (February-April) (See 2005 Student Activities and Timeline for curricular structure)

  • Plan to adequately integrate the summit curriculum into my students' course of study

  • Learn the software involved in the summit

  • Complete a final report/evaluation

  • Complete a test on school computers to determine if they will support the summit conferencing software (FuseTalk Software Test provided in part one of the application)

  • Manage, supervise, and monitor my students' use of the summit online discussion environment

  • Inform my school/district technology professional that I have applied to participate in the program

I have reviewed the 2005 Student Activities and Timeline
I have an understanding of the scope of the project
I understand that I will not be eligible for the $200 stipend unless I complete all parts of the program, including the final evaluation.
